A While not everyone will agree that the swinging lifestyle is morally acceptable it has become more main stream in the past couple of years. The question still exists: Is swinging a form of anti-social behaviour or are swingers just as normal as the rest of society. We take a closer look at what really goes on at private swinging events.
We all have sex - that is a fact. It is just the finer details of how, with who and why we do it that seems to divide people. The swingers community seems to be under the most scrutiny, even though they rarely display any form of anti-social behaviour. Do they really deserve all the negative publicity or are they just as normal as those who engage in vanilla sex?
We first have to ask ourselves what exactly is anti-social behaviour. Anti-social behaviour can be generally characterized as: an overall lack of adherence to the social mores and standards that allow members of a society to coexist peaceably [wisegeek.com]. Soccer hooligans are a fine example of anti-social behaviour as their racist slurs and violent conduct leaves no chance for anyone to watch the game peacefully.
In a recent survey of members were asked what is the worst you have seen at a swinging event? The results were rather surprising for the general public but definitely not for the swingers community. 38% of the members said that swinging events are all good natured.
Out of all the terrible things that could happened at a event the most votes went to smelly participants (33%). Now that is hardly something to sniff about as this complaint would not upset the general society but rather their fellow swingers. Compared to the real problems at a soccer match, a swinging event seems rather tame with a very low percentage going to problems like substance abuse (11%), verbal abuse (9%) and physical violence (9%).

Sexual satisfaction goes hand-in-hand with using all your senses – sight, smell, sound, touch and taste to gain the maximum pleasure. A few basic examples would be enhancing the atmosphere with candles, burning incense, running silk over your partners back or enjoying oysters and champagne as your preferred aphrodisiac.
what happens if something irritates your senses i.e. you are allergic to oysters, sneeze from the incense or itch from the silk. Your evening will transform from a night of pleasure into maximum disaster in matter of seconds.
Swingers in particular have mastered the art of heightening sensation and they are super sensitive when it comes to smell, sight, taste, sound and touch. One of the techniques that swingers use is called sensory input restriction where you only focus on a specific sense by restricting another one.
Blindfolding is a popular activity that takes away your sight and forces you to focus on touch and sound. Just imagine having no sense of sight while having sex. You will automatically develop a sense of anticipation, not knowing when your partner is going to touch you and this will only add to the thrill.
Getting in the right mood at a swingers party can really be difficult if the smell of stale socks or bad body odour keeps distracting you. The best advice that new swingers, also called newbie's, can follow is to first take care of their personal hygiene.
There are a few essential items that you need to take with you to a swinging event. These are body wipes, Kleenex, a small towel, deodorant, mouth wash and a clean set of underwear. Just simple things that will guarantee that you will literally and figuratively pass the smell test.
